Задание:

To activate learners` schemata, ask them to brainstorm possible effects of volcanic eruptions on atmosphere, lithosphere and hydrosphere before listening to the audio.

Work in pairs and discuss how volcanic eruptions can affect atmosphere, lithosphere and hydrosphere.

Решение:

Possible answers: ash particles will throw up into the atmosphere, the volcanic ash can be a threat to aircraft, volcanoes produce CO2, water temperature will rise, it can cause water pollution through raining, volcanic eruptions can change, destroy or create the new type of rock and landform.
