Задание:

Rise your hands up if you agree with this statement and explain why or stand up if you disagree and present some arguments.

Teacher shows the following fashion statements:

— You can judge a person`s personality by their clothes.
— Clothes are more important for women than for men.
— Young people are more fashionable than their parents.
— What you wear says a lot about your personality.
— Comfort is the most important thing when choosing new clothes or shoes.
— It is important to me to look different to my friends.
— Second hand clothes can be cool.

— You can judge a person`s personality by their clothes.

I do not agree with this statement.  Don’t judge a book by its cover. Clothes are just an appearance. They meet you by your clothes, but they see you off by your mind.  The greatest people have walked and walk in simple clothes.

— Clothes are more important for women than for men.

I do not agree with this statement. I know a lot of stylish guys.  I think clothes are important to a person regardless of his gender.

— Young people are more fashionable than their parents.

I agree with this statement.  In most cases, children are more fashionable than their parents. Children are always aware of the new trend and know which clothes are fashionable now and which are not. Parents most often choose clothes not according to fashion, but according to their preference.

— What you wear says a lot about your personality.

I agree with this statement. People choose clothes according to their personality. Confident people often choose bright clothes to stand out from the crowd. And modest introverts prefer casual style in dark colors. If you study this topic, you can learn a lot about a person by his style.

— Comfort is the most important thing when choosing new clothes or shoes.

I agree with this statement. We have to buy clothes or shoes that are comfortable for us in order to wear them in the future without any problems.  If you buy clothes without paying attention to comfort, then you can wear it only 2-3 times.

— It is important to me to look different to my friends.

I do not agree with this statement. A person should dress and choose his style first of all for himself.

— Second hand clothes can be cool.

I agree with this statement. In second-hand shops you can find very cool, unusual clothes for low prices. There are also vintage clothes in second-hand stores that you can’t find anywhere else now.
